The Referee Development Division of the Football Association of Thailand organized a referee training to improve and develop as well as increase referee options to perform VAR duties in accordance with the policy of “Madam Pang” Nualphan Lamsam, President of the Football Association of Thailand, at Bangkokthonburi University from 4-8 September.

This training was led by Subkiddin Bin Mohammad Salleh. Instructor from Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Lt. Preecha Kangram, Head of Referee Development (Technical), Lt. Mongkol Rungkhlai, Mr. Chaiwat Kansutha and Mr. Nat Srisawalak, instructors from the โปรโมชั่น ufabet Football Association of Thailand. For the training activities, the referees and assistant referees were divided into groups. To try out real-life duties in a Live Training Short Match both in the field and in the VOR room. Including testing the VAR system. All referees and assistant referees tested it as follows:

  1. Officiating on the field: In 2 warm-up football matches of 30 minutes. Working with the referee in the VAR room.
  2. Officiating in the VAR room: In 2 warm-up football matches of 30 minutes. Working with the referee in the field.

The referee training course 5, VAR Live Training (Full Match 1), will start on September 9-13, 2024. All 62 referees and assistant referees. If they pass the training according to the specified criteria and receive a license from FIFA. Will be able to perform their duties on the field and in the VAR room immediately.
